The Sahitya Akademi publishes Samskrita Pratibha, a Sanskrit quarterly journal, devoted to contemporary creative writings in Sanskrit. It was started in 1959 under the editorship of V. Raghavan. The main aim of this journal is to promote the writings in Sanskrit with a bird view. This is the only oldest Sanskrit journal in India in post-independence era that publishes only creative articles both in Poetry and Prose. Prof. Abhiraj Rajendra Mishra is its present Editor.

 

Submission Guidelines:

 

All kinds of creative articles, such as poems, Ghazals, Short Stories, one act plays, Dramas etc may be contributed. Sahitya Akademi encourages the Poetry translation from other languages to Sanskrit language. Sanskrit research articles will not be published in this journal. All articles may be sent to Sanskrit section by email as word attachment, to ds[dot]pub1[at]sahitya-akademi[dot]gov[dot]in along with a five line bio data of the author or translator. Sanskrit translation of Poetry or prose must be accompanied by a letter of permission from the original author granting permission to publish the translation in Samskrita Pratibha.

 

All submissions must be unpublished pieces only.
