The Akademi has introduced Navodaya Scheme to bring out the first book of an author in original language. Some of the titles brought out are Hudumdeo Aru Anyanya Galpa (Assamese short stories) by Imran Hussain, Diary (Collection of Oriya poetry) by Preetidhara Samal and Prithvine Aa Chhade (Collection of Gujarati Poetry) by Rajesh Pandey.
